Description

The 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display of the new Galaxy Tab S offers a 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution. That aside, the tablet features an octa-core Exynos 5420 SOC, 3GB of RAM, 2.1MP front-facing camera, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, and Android KitKat with Samsung’s latest Magazine UX. Galaxy S10: Display Variations

The standard Samsung S10 model boasts of with a 6.1” Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O screen and a resolution of 3040×1440, which is commonly referred to as Quad HD+. The Samsung S10+ is the largest in the line-up and measures 6.4”, while the Samsung S10e variant comes with a smaller, 5.8” screen. The latter also has a slightly lower resolution, 2280×1080. The aspect ratio of the displays of all the three models is 19:9 (the Samsung Galaxy S9 models featured the 18.5:9 ratio). For the first time in the history of smartphones, Samsung announced the support for HDR10+.

In the top right corner, there’s the front camera module seamlessly integrated into the display. In Samsung S10, it’s a single 10 MP camera, while the Plus version has two front cameras: 10 MP and 8 MP.

Its cornerstone is the Exynos 9820 chipset (or Snapdragon 855 in the gadgets intended for American buyers), which is built by the 8-nm process and 3-cluster architecture. The two M4 cores are meant for demanding tasks and perform 20% faster than last year’s M3. If the task requires ultimate performance, the two ARM Cortex A75 cores are engaged. For basic tasks, the device has four ARM Cortex A55 cores, which are distinguished by exceptional energy efficiency.

As for the graphics, the Samsung smartphones rely on the new Mali-G76. This GPU comprises 12 cores and provides a 40% performance surge in comparison with last year’s Mali-G72, which had 18 cores. All the three models operate on Android 9.0 with Samsung’s distinctive interface One UI.

The Samsung S10 and S10+ models have a generous amount of RAM – 8 GB, while the S10e model comes with 6 GB RAM. The built-in storage is 128 GB. Worth noting, the S10+ has a special version with 512 GB. Moreover, a limited edition variant with 1TB will be available in some countries.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ employ a system of three main cameras with optical stabilization. Each of them has distinctive specifications and purpose: the wide-angle 12 MP main camera with f/1.5 aperture; the 12 MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and a telephoto lens, and the 16 MP ultra-wide-angle (123°) with a fixed focus and f/2.2 aperture. As to the limited-edition model, S10+ with 1TB of built-in storage and a ceramic body, its price may bring tears to your eyes, for it’s a whopping USD 1,599.
